I am writing a longer piece called "Tackling Earl Campbell" which is a personal story about struggling with something. I mean, no running back today ran like Earl Campbell. He was a monster. Hence, trying to tackle him is the perfect metaphor for overcoming a huuuge obstacle in life.
Tackling Earl Campbell is one thing, but how about tackling Frankenstein's Monster? Let's write something from a villager's perspective. Maybe you want people to have to look up Earl Campbell, and that's fine, but as soon as they have to it ruins the metaphor. Who wants to stop what they are reading to refer to another book in order to understand the first?
